Cyberpunk RED

Hey chooms.

Yesterday, we launched the Cyberpunk RED Nexus Character Tools, and you didn't hesitate to jack right into the netspace. In just 24 hours you've embraced the NEXUS toolset at a staggering level, and we couldn't be more thankful.

As a way to show our thanks, R. Talsorian has agreed to be immensely generous and unlock all ten roles for free on Demiplane. You'll even get a chef's selection of programs, vehicles, and vehicle upgrades for your Netrunners and Nomads! The complete collection of items, cyberware, vehicles, and more are available from their books in our digital library, which will continue to expand.

That's not all. Our dev team has been cranking away, and we have a collection of updates and features that are available right now. We'll continue working on more next week, after our team takes a well deserved rest!

New Additions

  • The Exec, Fixer, Lawman, Netrunner, and Nomad are now all available to try for free in the tools.
  • You can now edit the name on your added Cyberware. Never forget how important branding is.
  • Fixers can now add their Role Ability languages directly in the tab on the sheet, which will then add them into the skill list.
  • When you have the Edgerunners toggle turned "on", you'll have a new option in the Calculate Damage drawer to mark damage coming from melee or charged tech weapons, which will then halve your SP automatically!

Corrections & Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with the display of Luck and Health on Firefox, still working on Safari. UPDATE: 4:10pm Central - The issue is now resolved in Safari.
  • Fixed a display issue where a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally long input in a custom skill field would distort the tab on the sheet.
  • The Improvement costs of the Tech's tech skills no longer unintentionally include their Maker bonus.
  • Cyberware can now properly be added multiple times, outside of your foundational pieces. Is there a record for how many light tattoos on a single character?
  • Fixed the Grab calculation, which was adding your STAT twice.
  • If you purchased a program inside the builder, and then removed it from your sheet, it would erroneously refund your eurobucks. Sorry, but there's a strict "no return" policy on starting gear.
  • When you have the Edgerunners toggle turned "on", a Neuroport added during character creation costs you 0 eurobucks, and does not reduce your humanity. Edgerunners pregens have also been updated to reflect this fix!
  • Speaking of Neuroports, someone put an extra chipware slot in there. That's been removed. If you want more slots, you'll have to pay for 'em with your hard-earned eurobucks!
  • Weapons enhanced with a Smart Rebuild attachment will now properly allow the use of Improved Smart Ammunition, even if they're exotic.
  • The Reflex Co-Processor now properly appears as an option for Neuralware.
  • Battery-powered ranged weapons, like the Stun Gun, can now add Battery Ammunition. This also applies to weapons that can optionally have Battery Ammunition.
  • The Zacatzontli Pickup Truck has been refitted with it's proper Housing upgrade.
  • Pain Editor chipware should now have an active effect on the sheet.

We have some other fixes we're actively working on, so look forward to more updates in the coming week, month, and beyond.
